Use this Google Sheet to track your progress: EMRA Weight Loss & Injection Tracker

For the best results, keep a reliable weighing scale and measuring tape handy.

Reminder: Everyone’s progress looks different. Tracking your measurements in detail is optional—do what feels right for you and fits your routine. If logging every number feels overwhelming, it’s perfectly fine to keep things simple.

Tirzepatide was initially formulated as a treatment for Type 2 diabetes. However, due to its powerful effects on weight regulation, it has rapidly gained recognition as one of the most effective anti-obesity medications available today.

This innovative medication works as a dual agonist of both the GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) and GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide) receptors. By stimulating these two key hormonal pathways, tirzepatide helps control blood sugar levels, curbs appetite, enhances metabolic efficiency, and promotes consistent, long-term weight loss. It not only helps individuals lose weight but also supports improved energy balance and overall metabolic health.

  • GLP-1: Suppresses appetite and increases feelings of fullness after eating.
  • GIP: Promotes insulin secretion and supports energy balance through receptors in the hypothalamus.
  • Average weight loss of 24.7% after 72 weeks
  • Reduces appetite and cravings
  • Enhances satiety and energy balance
  • Supports fat oxidation and metabolism
  • Improves insulin sensitivity and blood sugar control

    • While taking tirz, focus on meals rich in protein, fiber, and healthy fats—even if your appetite is low. Avoid greasy or sugary foods that can trigger nausea, and drink plenty of water throughout the day.
    • Add light movement like walking or stretching 3–5 times a week, and include strength training a few times weekly to help maintain muscle. Staying active not only boosts your results but also helps with common side effects like constipation.
    • Aim for 7–9 hours of sleep each night, as poor rest can slow progress and increase cravings. Try to stick to a consistent sleep schedule, and consider injecting in the evening if nausea is affecting your sleep.
    • Most people begin to see early changes ike reduced appetite or less frequent cravings within the first 1 to 2 weeks of consistent weekly injections.
    • Noticeable weight loss typically becomes visible by weeks 4 to 8, especially when paired with movement and mindful eating.
    • Clinical studies on tirzepatide show
    • 5% body weight reduction by week 12
    • 10–20% total weight loss over 6 to 12 months with continued use
    • Results vary depending on your dose, consistency, metabolism, and lifestyle habits.
